SINTN Stanford Institute for Neuro-Innovation & Translational Neurosciences

Advancing new diagnostics and therapies

The institute is committed to continually improving patient care for adults and children suffering with neurological and psychiatric disorders. Faculty members participate in a variety of Working Groups set up to facilitate communication between the basic and clinical sciences, enhance access to critical technical, expert and financial resources and streamline advances around specific neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Drawing on close ties to related service centers at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, the institute works to translate the latest discoveries into improved diagnostics, treatments and prevention strategies through ongoing clinical trials. Institute members also work closely with experts from the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics to anticipate and address all social, ethical and legal issues that may arise from these emerging technologies and therapies.
