Electrophysiological instruments for measuring the activity of ion channels and transporters

Andrea Brüggemann, PhD

CSO, Nanion

The presenter, Dr. Andrea Brüggemann is CSO of Nanion, a company that makes instruments for high-throughput electrophysiology.  She will discuss the the ion channel research that these instruments enable and will also demonstrate a compact, portable unit for measuring currents in lipid bilayers (called orbit mini).  If you have a sample suitable for a bilayer measurement, she will be on campus all day and happy to test your sample on this device between 1:30 and 5:00p.  (We will ask researchers to sign up for a time slot for the afternoon demo with your samples, if demand is high.)

Registration is not required, but it would be helpful if you could complete this very short form.
