Socially-aware AI for motor deficits - Alexandre Alahi

June 30, 2020 - 11:00am to 11:30am

Alexandre Alahi

Assistant Professor
EPFL - École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland

Director of the Visual Intelligence for Transportation (VITA) laboratory

With student Sven Kreiss

I will  present a new type of cognition I call socially-aware AI, i.e., Artificial Intelligence augmented with Social Intelligence. While this type of cognition is originally developed for trustworthy autonomous vehicles, I will show that it can also be used for neuroscience applications, e.g., serving humans with motor deficits in their daily activities.
