Research topics: We study the biology of social functioning in animal models and in patients with social impairments.

Techniques: We use a variety of techniques ranging from molecular to pharmacological to behavioral to study rhesus monkeys and human patients.

Project information: Undergraduate researchers in our lab can participate in patient research (at Stanford throughout the school year and in the summer) or monkey research (at the California National Primate Research Center in the summer). Our overarching research program focuses on studying the biological basis of social functioning in monkeys and people, and applying these fundamental insights to develop novel diagnostic tests and medications to treat social impairments in clinical populations.
