Research topics: Our team is using deep learning to improve medical imaging.

Techniques: We use brain imaging (PET, MRI) to study neurological diseases, including stroke and dementia.

Seeking undergrads for: Academic year, Summer

Required skills: Programming experience, some knowledge of AI/CS - We use linux computers and software packages such as Matlab and Tensorflow.

This lab is particularly interested in mentoring: Undergrads from backgrounds that are underrepresented in STEM, Undergrads without previous exposure to laboratory research

Project information: The goal of the research is to improve the quality of medical imaging using deep learning and other machine learning techniques.  We aim to produce images faster, more safely, and with less radiation dose while maintaining diagnostic image quality.  We are also interested in predicting future images given a patient's current images and their demographic and clinical information.
