brain stimulation, reinforcement learning, EEG

Molly completed a BS in Psychology at Yale, followed by a masters in Bioethics from Columbia. She grew up competitively sailing, based out of NJ. Molly works in the Etkin Lab at Stanford, where she is working to develop a form of closed-loop Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (non-invasive brain stimulation). Using EEG to record changes in brain state, the closed-loop algorithm selects optimal stimulation parameters within a treatment session. The goal is to use this tool for individualized treatment of psychiatric conditions, such as depression. Going forward, Molly hopes to continue using machine learning techniques in psychiatry and health care more generally.
