Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art preclinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology and expertise to the Stanford community to accelerate neuroscience-focused scientific discovery.
We offer a full range of support levels, from full project support to independent user operation, and welcome experts and researchers new to this field to contact us about their research needs. We look forward to working with members of the community to advance our understanding of the mind and brain.
Initiating a Project
Get in touch to schedule an on-boarding meeting to discuss proposed projects or for general questions about the facility.
At the heart of our lab is our state-of-the-art Bruker 7T MRI system with 40-cm diameter bore to support a range of small to large-animal studies.
Services and Rates
With over a decade of expertise in MRI service center operations, we provide a range of support levels and training opportunities for MRI users of all levels of expertise.
Neuroimaging Pilot Grants
The goal of this grant program is to encourage investigators of all levels to explore the possibilities of MR imaging for their research.
Selected recordings are available from our 2023 NPIL Symposium
Thanks again to those who attended and made our second annual symposium a great success. Hope to see you again next year! - Jieun Kim, PhD, NPIL Director
The Neuroscience Preclinical Imaging Lab is supported by the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute and by NIH grant S10OD025176 to Jin Hyung Lee, PhD. The team shares its gratitude with the Stanford departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Radiology and with Stanford BioX for their long-time support.
