The Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute believes diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging are essential to the advancement of science and to the development of a vibrant intellectual community.
Research conducted in the absence of diversity and inclusion of all people and their ideas slows the pace of science and our ability to treat diseases and improve lives. In order to pursue the above goals, the institute formed the committee on Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, Equity and Justice (DIBEJ).
About the DIBEJ Committee
The Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute DIBEJ Committee listens to input and feedback from our broad community, funds DIBEJ-focused programs and initiatives, evaluates institute programs and policies, develops and prioritizes concrete actions, and reports their findings and recommendations to the Executive Committee.
DIBEJ presented their initial recommendations to the Executive Committee on November 1, 2020. Once a year, the DIBEJ Committee updates and provides new recommendations to the Executive Committee.
