Talk: Presenting the stystems Demos take place October 27 - November 2

At the end of the month of October, there will be a week-long on campus demonstration of a new microscope system from Bruker featuring both STORM/PALM super-resolution ["Vutara"] and high speed, swept-field confocal capabilities ["Opterra".]

The purpose of the demo is two-fold: 1) evaluation of the system for purchase by individual labs, 2) evaluation for potential purchase of a system for the Neuroscience Microscopy Service Center. [Note: For NIH shared equipment funding, case 2 requires a substantial user group with funded projects that would occupy 75% of the weekly schedule.]

If you would like to try these microscopes with your own samples, you will need to prepare in advance. Proper sample preparation for super-resolution imaging is both non-trivial and essential for success. If you are interested, please email me (aolson6@stanford.edu). I will send printed instructions, and will also put you in touch with the Bruker applications scientist who will have further information for you and will be able to schedule your demo slot.
