Sammy Kuo Awards Presented by Corinna Darian-Smith

Join us as we present the 2021 Sammy Kuo Awards in Neuroscience during the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute Symposium.

The Sammy Kuo awards honor the memory of Sammy Kuo, who died of a rare, progressive encephalitis in 2006.  Established by the Sammy Kuo Memorial Fund, the awards encourage meritorious neuroscience research at the postdoctoral and graduate levels at Stanford, and serve as an inspiration as well as a profound reminder of the impact translational research has on patients and their families.

Each year, the awards are conferred at the annual Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute Symposium. A highlight of the awards ceremony is the reading of Peggy Guey-Chi Chen's personal essay.
