A hands-on workshop on human stem cell-derived, functional 3D brain organoids & assembloids
This one week-long practical course will provide training to 20 participants in all aspects of 3D in vitrostudy of neural development and disease modeling.
Topics include: human stem cell maintenance, generation and assembly of 3D brain-region specific cultures, quality controls, assay implementations (viral infection, genetic engineering, functional imaging, electrophysiology, etc).
The course will take place in new ChEM-H & Neurosciences Building.
Applications:
Eligibility: Scientists outside of Stanford University; trainees (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) and labs with no experience in this research area will be given priority.
