Town Hall Meeting with Congressman Jerry McNerney
Jerry McNerney, PhD
US. Representative for California's 9th Congressional District
Congressman McNerney will be visiting Stanford on Dec. 4 and providing a brief presentation followed by Q&A and an informal discussion opportunity with attendees.
He holds a PhD in Mathematics, has a special interest in neuroscience and is a strong supporter of basic science research.
This is a great opportunity to share your science, but also to interact with a key policy maker and share your thoughts on the importance of federal funding for basic research in the area of neuroscience. He serves on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, which is vested with broad jurisdiction on a number of issues including public health research
