Welcoming the 2024 NeuroTech Trainees
Innovation in neurosciences thrives on the development of new tools and technologies. The NeuroTech Training Program immerses Stanford PhD students from technical disciplines—such as bioengineering, electrical engineering, and computer science—into the emerging field of neurotechnology, preparing them to shape the future of brain science and human health.
Over the next two years, these trainees will engage in interdisciplinary research, combining their specialized knowledge with a deep exploration of neuroscience. By collaborating with mentors and experts across various disciplines, the NeuroTech Training program aims to empower these students to develop novel technologies that will accelerate scientific discoveries. With access to advanced coursework, seminars, and hands-on projects, the 2024 NeuroTech trainees are uniquely positioned to address some of the most pressing challenges in neurotechnology.
This year, the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute welcomes 10 trainees majoring in computer science, genetics, electrical engineering, physics, and bioengineering. Their diverse expertise and innovative approaches have the potential to revolutionize treatments, diagnostics, and our understanding of the brain.
