Adarsh Tantry

Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellow (Anonymous Donor)
Neurosciences
PhD Student

Adarsh is a rising 3rd year PhD student in the Neurosciences program, advised by Dr. Julia Kaltschmidt of the Neurosurgery department. In collaboration with Dr. Carlos Milla of the Pediatrics-Pulmonary Medicine, Adarsh is investigating neuron-epithelium signaling in the colon and how this communication impacts water absorption in the colon. He is generally interested in neuron-non-neuronal cell communication, particularly in peripheral organs. Adarsh enjoys talking about science to middle and high schoolers via Stanford Science Pen pals and Stanford Brain Day. Outside of lab, Adarsh enjoys hiking and playing fetch with his English Shepherd, who is working hard to get authorship on Adarsh's thesis.
