Affiliation:
Jamie Kwon (‘29) is a prospective Human Biology major with a minor in Symbolic Systems.
Joining the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute as a NeURO Fellow, Jamie will study the enteric nervous system (ENS), often described as the “second brain,” which communicates with the central nervous system via the gut-brain axis. Leveraging stem cell-derived ENS models, Jamie will explore how microbes regulate neuronal function in the lab of Dr. Michael Howitt.
In her free time, Jamie enjoys hiking, stargazing, learning new instruments, and journaling.
