MPH, Epidemiology
PhD, Epidemiology and bioinformatics

Andi Liu is a neuroscience researcher at the Knight Initiative for Brain Resilience, specializing in bioinformatics and genetic epidemiology. He earned his PhD in Epidemiology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he led research on neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. Andi developed bioinformatics pipelines to analyze multi-omics datasets, including single-cell sequencing, bulk sequencing, and proteomic data, to identify key molecular mechanisms.
As part of the Knight Initiative’s mission to advance brain resilience, Andi will be committed to applying cutting-edge bioinformatics strategies to elucidate the molecular underpinnings of brain aging and neurodegenerative disorders. He will support the team with bioinformatic analysis, driving innovative insights that will contribute to therapeutic advancements in brain health.
