Christine Sih Chin Ng

Neurosciences Postdoctoral Scholar Brain Resilience Track Department of Chemistry

Christine Ng is a postdoctoral scholar in the Banik lab, investigating how subcellular organization shapes neural resilience and degeneration. She completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Stanford University, where she pioneered the development of targeted protein relocalization tools to precisely manipulate the spatial distribution of proteins within living cells, establishing relocalization as both a powerful tool to probe cellular biology and a potential therapeutic strategy. She now leverages protein relocalization to study and modulate neurodegenerative disease through an interdisciplinary approach that bridges molecular design, synthetic biology, and neuroscience.
