B.S., Biology, Lanzhou University, 2017

Fei Deng is a postdoctoral fellow advised by Dr. Scott Owen in the Department of Neurosurgery. His research interests lie in neuromodulation and its impact on cognition. Fei received a B.S. degree in biology from Lanzhou University in 2017. Then he obtained his Ph.D. degree in physiology at Peking University in 2023, where he joined Dr. Yulong Li’s lab and developed genetically encoded serotonin sensors. With a strong background in monitoring neuromodulators using advanced sensors and imaging techniques, he is dedicated to uncovering how neuromodulators influence complex brain functions and behavioral performance, currently focusing on the dynamic acetylcholine regulation in flexible learning and restorative interventions of cholinergic systems in Parkinson's disease.
