Najifa Nosin ('29) is a HumBio major deeply interested in neurodegenerative diseases. She first became interested in neuroscience after an internship at MIT, where she studied Friedreich’s Ataxia. She hopes to pursue graduate education to better understand the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration.
Najifa joined the Institute as a Summer 2026 NeURO fellow, studying how neuronal signaling drives inflammation in ALS in Aaron Gitler's lab.
She is involved with the Stanford Cardinal Free Clinics and the Stanford Undergraduate Research Association. In her free time, she enjoys watching romcoms, strolling through downtown Palo Alto, and trying new foods.
