Sarah Zou
Sarah Zou is a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering and a Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellow affiliated with the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. Her research focuses on developing multiplexed PET (mPET) imaging techniques to simultaneously visualize multiple biomarkers in the brain. By applying novel signal processing methods, she aims to improve the molecular characterization of traumatic brain injury and related neurological conditions. Her work bridges biomedical imaging, robotics, and neuroscience through collaborations with Prof. Craig Levin on PET systems, Prof. Mykel Kochenderfer on parameter estimation algorithms, and Prof. Maheen Adamson on clinical translation. Sarah earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and enjoys backpacking, running, and pickleball in her free time.
