Shon Alimukhamedov
Shon Alimukhamedov is a researcher within the Knight Initiative's Brain Resilience Laboratory. He supports Dr. Isakova in the operations of the lab, which includes conducting the single-cell and bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and next-generation sequencing experiments. His efforts will contribute to the Knight Initiative's pursuit of developing a detailed molecular map of human brain aging and identifying the markers and pathways of brain resilience.
Before joining the Knight Initiative, Shon received his Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology with a focus in molecular genetics from the University of Arizona. During his undergraduate years, he studied the interaction between Ras and mTORC2 and their involvement in chemotaxis as it pertains to cancer metastasis.
