Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute partners with the Vice Provost for Graduate Education to award Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowships (SIGFs) in the area of neuroscience. These fellowships provide current graduate students, whose research interests are in the interdisciplinary neurosciences, with three years of funding support. Learn more

Research Project: Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Epileptogenesis

Co-Advisor: Michelle Monje (Neurology)

Gustavo uses quantitative MRI to non-invasively probe white matter microstructural changes during epileptogenesis.

Research Project: How do Schwann cells sort and myelinate axons in the developing peripheral nervous system?

Primary Advisor: Brad Zuchero (Neurosurgery)

Co-Advisor: Wah Chiu (Bioengineering, Microbiology and Immunology, and Photon Science)

Kathryn uses advanced imaging techniques to probe mechanisms underlying the motility of Schwann cell protrusions during both sorting and myelination.
